Sirius radio updating stuck

I have found I can "fix" it most of the time by going to source and then FM radio - which works - then hit the Sirius source again and it starts working. Generally when you go through tunnels or under bridges, it will stop playing as it wont have any signal. Your dealer SHOULD have activated the trial for you before left the lot, but most dealers don't do it.

This doesn't work all the time though - sometimes just have to wait until after car is restarted after a certain amount of time and it's working again. So, you can call either the number that comes up on the screen when you go to it on ICT/ICT Pro or call 1-855-599-5618 to activate your trial. If you picked up your FPACE in the last two weeks, you were able to listen to SOME channels for free (60 of them).

Here's some member benefits: Last week the radio screen said "Sirius update 0%" and nothing Entertainment related worked, including voice commands.

I tried rebooting with Master Reset, but it did not help.

So I called my Ford dealer and a helpful service guy advised me to temporarily disconnect the auxiliary battery. In the attached photo, the disconnect point is the one nut to the left, not the two nuts down below. Last week the radio screen said "Sirius update 0%" and nothing Entertainment related worked, including voice commands. That looks like the page I visited when renewing Sirius XM service.

I contacted Sirius and they supposedly reset something and sent a new signal, but it didn't help.

Just an FYI regarding signal location, I am in Michigan. The Sirius radio in my 2006 A6 4.2 has recently been going into Linking mode and not coming out of it or cutting in and out periodically. I did have a new signal hit sent from Sirius, but it did not help. Is there anyone else who has had the same problem and been able to correct or troubleshoot it?

As for reception - yes, if you're in a place where access to the satellites is blocked (tall buildings, tunnels, mountain passes, etc), it will cut out for a few seconds and then come back.

I think @Jagfirst 's issue is with the system itself.

All the reviews I've seen on the CD-SB10 said that it freezes up and doesn't respond to anything.

I just ordered the GEX-P920XM and will install that when it gets delivered.

I've had Sirius forever and now will have to switch over to XM.
